Special Services

Skin checks involve a systematic examination of the skin by a qualified GP to assess new, changing, or concerning spots.

The doctor considers individual risk factors such as skin type, personal and family history, and sun exposure, and may provide advice on skin health and prevention.

Where clinically appropriate, the GP may arrange monitoring, discuss management options, perform biopsies or removals, organise follow‑up, or refer to another medical practitioner for further assessment.

Patients are encouraged to raise any concerns or skin changes with their GP as part of their ongoing care.

Our Travel Health Services support patients to prepare for travel based on their destination, itinerary, medical history, and planned activities.

A travel health consultation may include individualised travel advice, a review of recommended or required vaccinations, and discussion of preventive measures to reduce common travel‑related health risks.

Where clinically appropriate, the GP may administer vaccines, prescribe medications, provide documentation, or arrange follow‑up and referral to another medical practitioner.

Advice and recommendations may vary between individuals, and patients are encouraged to discuss their specific travel plans and health concerns with their GP as part of their preparation for travel.

Minor surgical procedures are provided by trained general practitioners and are undertaken where clinically appropriate.

Our clinic offers a range of low‑risk procedures commonly managed in primary care, including laceration management, skin lesion biopsies and removals, excisions, curettage, wound repair, removal of cysts or ingrown toenails, and long‑acting reversible contraception (LARC) insertion and removal.

The GP will assess the patient’s medical history, discuss the nature of the procedure, potential risks, and aftercare requirements.

Follow‑up care, pathology review, or referral to another medical practitioner may be arranged where required.

Occupational health services support the health, safety, and work capacity of individuals in relation to their employment.

Services may include work‑related medical assessments, pre‑employment or fitness‑for‑work evaluations, management of workplace injuries or illnesses, health monitoring, and completion of workplace documentation where appropriate.

Consultations are based on an individual’s medical history, role requirements, and relevant workplace factors, and may involve liaison with employers, insurers, or other healthcare providers with patient consent.

Where necessary, the GP may arrange follow‑up care, provide certificates or reports, or refer to another medical practitioner or allied health professional.

Outcomes and recommendations vary between individuals, and patients are encouraged to discuss any work‑related health concerns with their GP.

Legal and court‑ordered drug testing is provided in a general practice by a qualified general practitioner in accordance with relevant legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements.

Services may include the collection and documentation of biological samples, such as urine, saliva, or blood, as specified by a court order, legal authority, or external agency.

The GP’s role is limited to overseeing the testing process, ensuring appropriate identification, consent where applicable, and accurate record‑keeping, and providing results to the requesting authority in line with privacy and confidentiality obligations.

Drug testing is performed strictly as directed by the requesting body and does not constitute medical diagnosis or treatment.

Patients are encouraged to discuss any questions about the process or requirements with their GP prior to testing.

Occupational health injury management supports patients following a work‑related injury or illness, in line with relevant workers’ compensation frameworks.

This may include an initial medical assessment and diagnosis, evaluation of functional and work capacity, and discussion of suitable duties or capacity for work where appropriate.

The GP may complete required workers’ compensation documentation, develop an evidence‑based treatment and recovery plan, and provide ongoing review to support safe participation in work during recovery.

The GP may liaise with employers, insurers, case managers, or allied health providers, and arrange referral to another medical practitioner or specialist if needed.

Management plans and outcomes vary between individuals, and patients are encouraged to discuss any work‑related injury or concerns with their GP.
