Dr Matt Knight is a proud Gold Coaster and completed his Biomedical Science and Medical degrees at Griffith University between 2006 and 2012. He has worked in cardiovascular research with the Heart Foundation and later completed further training across Queensland in Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma.
Matt has a strong interest in sports medicine and spent four years as a team doctor for the Gold Coast Titans. He continues to work in surgical assisting, primarily in plastic and orthopaedic surgery, and has extensive experience in acute injury management.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys time with his wife and three children. He keeps active with running and fishing, and loves gaming – whether that’s on PC, the Switch, or playing Unstable Unicorns with his kids.
Areas of Interest
- Minor surgical procedures (removal of cysts, lipomas and other lumps/bumps under the skin)
- Management of fractures, broken bones and joint dislocations
- Treatment of skin infections and wound care
- Bulk Billed Implanon insertion and removal, including difficult removal (same day if required) and ultrasound assisted if necessary
