Dr Nimalan Subramaniam

Dr Nimalan Subramaniam enjoys all aspects of general practice with special interest and additional training in heart disease management and prevention, general medicine and geriatrics.
Dr Nimalan graduated from the University of Queensland with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and later trained at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in all sub specialities of general medicine and cardiology (TTH). He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada).
He has been actively involved in teaching medical students and GP registrars (doctors in speciality training). He holds a training and teaching role with General Practice Training Queensland (GPTQ), the training body for speciality general practice training in QLD. Dr.Nimalan has held academic titles with the University of Queensland (UQ) School of Medicine, and Flinders University School of Medicine and is an invited OSCE examiner for final year medical students at UQ School of Medicine. Dr.Nimalan is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Dr Nimalan enjoys travelling, is a keen chess player and, as a Sri Lankan by birth, he always love to play a game of cricket when time permits!
