Dr Rosemary Austen, BSc (HONS) Ph D BScMed MBBS FRACGP studied Biochemistry, Chemistry and Zoology at the University of NSW where she also completed Honours and a PhD in Biotechnology. She did post doctoral research in Canada and further post doctoral research in genetically engineered vaccines in Australia. She studied Medicine at the University of NSW and has been a General Practitioner for the last 28 years ni the ACT and NSW. She also worked for the ACT General Practitioner Aged Day Service from 2011 to 2015.
Rosemary has a holistic approach to medicine and a special interest in lifestyle change and preventive medicine, mental health, chronic disease management and women’s health.
In her spare time, Rosemary rescues and rehabilitates native animals. She runs, with her husband Steve, Possumwood Wildlife Hospital and Research and Recovery Centre at Bungendore. She also tries to make time for gardening and hiking.

Dr Austen has an interest in over fifties health, mental health, Womens health and General Medicine. In her spare time Dr Austen rescues and rehabilitates native animals, she runs with her husband Steve Possumwood Wildlife Hospital and Research and Recovery at Bungendore.
