Dr Jurgens Staats

Dr Jurgens Staats is a compassionate and experienced general practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience. He has a strong special interest in the assessment and management of allergies and allergy-related conditions.
Dr Staats holds an MBBCh and MMed in Family Medicine from the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg) and is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Southern Africa (FCFP). He also holds a Diploma in Allergology (SA) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Allergy from the University of Southampton. His practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, complemented by an appreciation for a holistic, patient-centred approach to care.
His allergy-focused services include skin prick testing for common allergens, allergen immunotherapy (desensitisation), and spirometry for respiratory assessment and monitoring. He also manages a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions and performs minor procedures.
Dr Staats is committed to patient-centred care, with an emphasis on shared decision-making and long-term health outcomes. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors. He is proud to serve the Southwest community with attentive, compassionate care.
