Aviation medicals assess a patient’s fitness to perform aviation related duties, where required by relevant aviation medical standards.
The assessment may include a review of medical history, physical examination, vision and hearing assessment, cardiovascular review, and completion of required aviation medical documentation.
The GP or authorised medical examiner will assess the patient in relation to the requirements of the relevant aviation medical class. Additional testing, follow up, or specialist referral may be required.

Category 1, 2 and 3 Rail Medicals are occupational health assessments completed for rail safety workers in accordance with relevant rail safety requirements.
The assessment may include a review of medical history, physical examination, vision and hearing testing, cardiovascular risk assessment, drug and alcohol screening, and completion of rail medical documentation.
The GP will assess the patient’s health and fitness in relation to the safety requirements of their role. Additional testing, follow up, or referral may be required depending on individual circumstances.

Occupational health services support the health, safety, and work capacity of individuals in relation to their employment.
Services may include work‑related medical assessments, pre‑employment or fitness‑for‑work evaluations, management of workplace injuries or illnesses, health monitoring, and completion of workplace documentation where appropriate.
Consultations are based on an individual’s medical history, role requirements, and relevant workplace factors, and may involve liaison with employers, insurers, or other healthcare providers with patient consent.
Where necessary, the GP may arrange follow‑up care, provide certificates or reports, or refer to another medical practitioner or allied health professional.
Outcomes and recommendations vary between individuals, and patients are encouraged to discuss any work‑related health concerns with their GP.
